Tim Fife discussed a call for bids for the 2017 Flexible Guidepost Project. He said 63 miles of guideposts
will be replaced.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one Notice item and two Consent items to the Monday,
August 1, 2018, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
Steve Mansfield joined at 9:06 a.m.
Lee Napier said she may have late additions, including a building moratorium regarding Water-Sewer
District 2 and Water-Sewer District 5. She said an ordinance and notice of hearing would be added.
Lee said she also may add a resolution to change the burn restrictions. Lee said she will meet with fire
commissioners later in the day to discuss fire conditions and fire danger.
Wayne Whiton noted that conditions outdoors are equal to that of a brand new ream of paper in a
cardboard box.
Steve Mansfield noted that fire-fighting resources are stretched thin, leaving

Erik Martin discussed his new role as County Manager.
Danette York said she has learned an employee involved with WIC will be leaving.
Wayne Whiton asked for any information about any large purchases, including property, or items
declared surplus within the county since August for insurance purposes.
Steve Wohld discussed cybersecurity as well as the deployment of new computers. He said his team is
preparing for fair.
Becky Butler said worksheets will be due soon. She discussed the benefits of Munis.
Steve Walton and Becky said the go-live day for Munis payroll implementation has been pushed back to
Jan. 1, 2019.
Steve Mansfield discussed efforts to extinguish the Miriam Fire near White Pass.
Susan DeLaire left at 9:49 a.m.
Archie Smith discussed Janus. He said HR also is performing a training audit.
Commissioner Jackson discussed a constituent complaint about kids playing basketball in the street.
Commissioner Fund said Grays Harbor has considered open union deliberations.
