Steve Mansfield discussed updates in the communication center. The group discussed the public safety
mission of the 911 center and the threats to public safety which results from deconsolidating 911
services.
Commissioner Jackson mentioned an experience from the state E911 board meeting.
Commissioner Fund mentioned other comments being made by the user group.
Commissioner Stamper joined the meeting at 11:18 a.m.
Commissioner Fund briefly stepped out of the meeting at 11:20 a.m.
Commissioner Stamper asked for clarification on previous comments made by Steve Mansfield.
Erik Martin and Steve Mansfield discussed two studies being performed on the communications center.
The group discussed the interlocal agreement.
Commissioner Jackson discussed the need for the buy into the infrastructure.
Commissioner Jackson briefly discussed current public opinion.
The group discussed the current user rates.
Steve Mansfield left the meeting at 11:46 a.m.
The group continued to discuss the user rates.
Erik Martin discussed changes in the budget which was submitted by the Sheriff.
Commissioner Stamper and Erik Martin discussed the contracts the Sheriff has with other municipalities.
Commissioner Jackson asked about the terms to the NAPHcare contract.
Rachel Hunt left and Rieva Lester joined the meeting at 12:02 p.m.
Erik said revenues for the sheriff’s office are down.
Erik said he has spoken with directors and electeds about strategic planning and plans to keep those
conversations going.
