Tim Fife discussed a Notice of Hearing to modify the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water Fee and Rate
Schedule.
J.P. Anderson discussed a resolution to approve a Memorandum of Agreement between the State of
Washington Department of Veterans Affairs and Lewis County.
The group discussed a resolution to approve a contract between Omnicare Pharmacy and the Lewis
County Sheriff/Jail.
Tim Fife discussed a resolution for the proposed acquisition of additional right of way for Cousins Road
at MP 3.15 in Adna.
Commissioner Jackson discussed the project with Tim Fife and Erik Martin.
Tim Fife discussed a resolution approving the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Chair to sign the
Applicant Resolution/Authorization and Funding Board Project Agreement between Lewis County and
the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the Cowlitz River Public Access Point project.
Tim Fife discussed a resolution approving the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Chair to sign the
Applicant Resolution/Authorization and Amendment to Project Agreement between Lewis County and
the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the Lacamas Creek Side Channel Reconnection.
Lee Napier discussed a public hearing for Ordinance 1290, fee schedule.
Lee Napier discussed a public hearing for Ordinance 1294, adopting a moratorium upon certain building
permits within the boundaries of Water-Sewer District #5.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move 1 notices, 2 consent items, 5 deliberation items and 2
hearings to the Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, BOCC Business Meeting.
Commissioner Stamper seconded.
Motion passed 3-0.
Roundtable
Steve Walton gave an update on the 2018 fair. He continued by discussing the upcoming Washington
State Garlic Festival.
Steve Mansfield gave a brief update on the Miriam Fire and the air quality in the area.
Commissioner Jackson discussed events from the previous week. He also commended Steve Walton and
his staff on a job well done at the fair this year.
The group also discussed the sound output and systems at the stages located at the fairgrounds.
Commissioner Fund discussed a fundraiser for Fred Terry’s wife.
Commissioner Stamper reiterated several positive points from the fair from this year.
Erik Martin also extended a thank you to the fair staff. He continued by discussing the BOCC staff will
working on calendar changes in the upcoming weeks.
Tim Fife said they will be pulling the Cowlitz park resolution.
J.P. Anderson discussed several communicable diseases cases. He also discussed staffing levels and
changes.
Wayne Whiton discussed the filtering face mask approval form.
Steve Wohld discussed his department’s staffing at the fair. He also discussed the cybersecurity training
and another county that was hacked earlier in the week.
Steve Wohld and Steve Mansfield discussed the current status of new employee’s email accounts.
