Becky Butler discussed a Notice of Hearing for the 3rd 2018 Budget Amendment for Current Expense and Other Funds. Bruce Kimsey discussed a resolution to approve an agreement between the Lewis County Sheriff's Office and TransAlta for a $116,000 grant for 44 radios. Bruce Kimsey and Undersheriff Rethwill left at 9:12 a.m. Tim Fife discussed a notice for a franchise to Glenn and Kathleen Hedrick to construct, operate and maintain water system facilities in Lewis County rights of way. Archie Smith discussed a resolution to authorize initial placement of casual airport manager on the salary grid (13 Step "M" Grid) for non-union extra help. He said the position is for a casual Airport Systems Manager. JP Anderson discussed a resolution to approve contract amendment C between Lewis County and Housing Resource Center to add funding and extend the contract for Housing and Essential Needs (HEN). Tim Fife discussed a resolution to approve a resolution authorizing and providing for the incurrence of indebtedness of $80,000 for the purpose of providing a portion of the cost of constructing a water reservoir serving the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water System. Tim Fife discussed a resolution to approve a resolution authorizing and providing for the incurrence of indebtedness of $199,000 for the purpose of providing a portion of the cost of constructing a water reservoir serving the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water System. Tim Fife discussed a public hearing for the proposed modifications to the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water System Fee and Rate Schedule. He said it’s a 5 percent increase across the board. Commissioner Stamper made a motion to move one proclamation, two Notice items, two Consent items, five Deliberation items, and one Hearing to the Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Roundtable Steve Wohld said updates took place over the weekend. Steve said the county needs to limit the use of personal laptops and tablets due to security concerns. Steve Mansfield gave an update on the Miriam Fire. Becky Butler said the budget meetings kick off the following week. She said the commissioners have been given the preliminary budget and will meet with members of the citizen group later in the day. Lee Napier said she’ll be attending Farm Bureau later in the day and will be at a conference the following week. Gary Fredricks said an eight-week leadership series will begin in October. Commissioner Stamper said he attended the VFW meeting in Morton the previous night. Susan DeLaire left at 9:34 a.m. Commissioner Fund said Onalaska is gearing up for its Apple Harvest festival. Steve Mansfield said he is awaiting a contract from AMR. He said it will move forward as a resolution once it is returned. Meeting ended at 9:48 a.m.
