Risk and Safety Administrator Wayne Whiton said liabilities, such as jail, roads, miles driven, the fair,
etc., make the county high-risk for general liability insurance.
Public Records Manager Casey Mauermann discussed the purchase of Gov Q&A to provide consistency.
She said the county currently has 354 open records requests. Casey discussed the process for
responding to multiple requesters.
Casey outlined the challenges faced due to multiple requesters. She reviewed some of the small fees
charged for public records requests.
Wayne discussed personnel lawsuits the county faces. He said he is working with the Risk Pool to offer
management training for elected officials.
Wayne said there are 32 outstanding tort claims.
Wayne said there are many outstanding employment/personnel claims and that those make up the
largest bulk of the county’s claims. Wayne discussed general liability insurance.
