2018-09-26 Auditor-Treasurer UpdateUpdate with Auditor / Treasurer September 26, 2018 3:03 p.m. Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, County Manager Erik Martin, Arny Davis, Rodney Reynolds, Larry Grove, Suzette Smith, Becky Butler, Commissioner Stamper (3:18 p.m.) Recorder: Rieva Lester Arny Davis said the Munis implementation has delayed some reports. He and Rodney Reynolds gave an overview of liquid deposits and earnings. Arny said the Fed moved rates up a quarter of a percentage point earlier in the day. Arny left at 3:07 p.m. Suzette Smith said Munis implementation has delayed some reports. Suzette said the rollout for payroll has been delayed until April 1. Suzette said a payroll person has been hired and has worked weekends to learn the system. Commissioner Fund left at 3:12 p.m. Commissioner Stamper joined at 3:18 p.m. Suzette Smith said the State Auditor’s Office has said special purpose districts are responsible for balancing their own checkbooks. Erik Martin left at 3:28 p.m. Larry Grove said special purpose districts are getting paid within a week and county invoices are paid within 21 days. Becky Butler said the IPD came in and the county can collect its full 1 percent in property taxes. Rodney left at 3:35 p.m. Commissioner Jackson discussed a life insurance benefit. He said he would contact the county’s representative regarding costs. Commissioner Stamper said he plans to attend the Risk conference in November. Meeting adjourned at 3:48 p.m.
