Commissioner Jackson made a motion to add a resolution listing the bids received and contractor
selected for the flexible guideposts as well as a proclamation recognizing Lewis County Disaster
Preparedness and Alert Awareness Month to the day’s legislative agenda.
Commissioner Fund seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
The group discussed the agenda for the upcoming Legislative Roundtable.
Commissioner Stamper joined at 9:09 a.m.
Rachel Hunt left at 9:10 a.m.
Wayne Whiton said the Risk Pool is down to one claims processor and one junior claims position to
cover all the counties that use the service.
The group discussed the Timberland Regional Library’s recent announcements regarding potential
library closures. Commissioner Fund said TRL’s next meeting is Oct. 24 in Tumwater.
The group discussed Sheriff Snaza’s request regarding additional Naphcare funding.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:28 a.m. and returned at 9:29 a.m.
All three commissioners said they plan to attend the Oct. 4 United Way luncheon.
The commissioners discussed their calendars.
County Manager Erik Martin said Josh Metcalf has accepted the Public Works Director position.
