HELD: Proclamation recognizing Timberland Regional Library.
Commissioner Fund discussed a proclamation acknowledging
October 7-13, 2018, as Lewis County 4-H Week.
Lee Napier discussed a resolution to approve Ordinance 1296
to correct a mapping error on the Countywide Zoning map
adopted under Ordinance 1288.
Lee Napier discussed a resolution to approval of a Wetland Mitigation Credit Buy/Sell Agreement with
Cowlitz Mitigation Partners to purchase wetland mitigation credits at a cost of $124,550 for the taxiway
improvements project at Ed Carlson Memorial Field/South Lewis County (Toledo) Airport.
J.P. Anderson discussed a resolution to approve contract between Lewis County and Centralia School
District for Student Homelessness Services.
J.P. Anderson discussed a resolution to approve Internet Vehicle/Vessel Information Processing System
(IVIPS) Contract between Washington State Department of Licensing and Lewis County. He said it helps
track down ownership of junk vehicles.
Tim Fife discussed a call for bids for six new pursuit-rated Interceptor sedans.
Tim Fife discussed a resolution to approve a Master Interlocal Agreement between Lewis County and
Wahkiakum County, and authorizing signatures thereon.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one Presentation, one Notice item, two Consent items,
and five Deliberation items to the Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
Roundtable
Archie Smith discussed the Ninth Circuit’s ruling regarding the Foster Farms FMLA case. He said a new
position raises questions about mandatory enrollment regarding FMLA.

Becky Butler discussed upcoming Budget meetings.
Steve Wohld and Lee Napier discussed river gauges.
Steve Wohld gave updates on the PacketWriter revamp and cybersecurity.
Commissioner Jackson left at 10:10 a.m. and returned at 10:13 a.m.
Steve Wohld said the county is exploring the purchase of cyber-insurance.
Tim Fife said Chamber Way closures are planned for Oct. 15-18.
Commissioner Jackson said County Manager Erik Martin is working with area representatives to move
forward on 911.
Lara McRea left at 10:25 a.m.
Commissioner Fund invited the group to the Oct. 5 Legislative Roundtable.
