Archie Smith discussed the previous year’s move to PEBB.
Becky Butler asked if the county would pick up the insurance increase or whether the increases would
be passed on to the employees themselves. She said covering the increase would cost the county
roughly $70,000-$75,000.
She said rate sheets need to be out before Nov. 1 and that open enrollment ends Nov. 30.
The group discussed maintaining the flat $25 for AFSCME and giving non-reps the same.
Archie said the deputies, corrections officers and 911 groups are considering leaving WCIF and joining
PEBB.
Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson and Commissioner Stamper approved paying the $25 flat
rate per employee for insurance.
