The group discussed Ordinance 1295.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:03 a.m. and returned at 9:04 a.m.
Eric Eisenberg said he would attend the day’s hearing.
At 9:06, Commissioner Fund announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under RCW
42.30.110(1)(i) for 5 minutes to discuss pending litigation.
At 9:11 a.m., the Board extended Executive Session for 5 minutes.
Executive Session ended at 9:11 a.m.
Commissioner Stamper made a motion to finish the Cortland / Hupy / Green case, case No. 17-2-6152-
34.
Commissioner Jackson seconded.
Motion passed 3-0.
Commissioner Fund said the Great Rivers Behavioral Health Organization met with the Health Care
Authority the previous week. Eric and Commissioner Fund discussed the BHO and the possible move to
an LLC.
Commissioner Fund said Vader has asked for District Court services because the judge in Winlock, who
had helped Vader, has retired.
Eric suggested reaching out to District Court to see what additional needs exist. He said Jonathan Meyer
also should be listed as a signatory on the agreement. He said he’d have Jonathan speak with Judge
Buzzard.
Eric left at 9:32 a.m.
The commissioners said they would split the expenses for the Legislative Roundtable.
Wayne Whiton left at 9:34 a.m.
Commissioner Fund discussed her recent trip to Washington, D.C., and shared contact information for
individuals in D.C. The commissioners discussed Secure Rural Schools, Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT)
and forest management.
Commissioner Fund said the Timberland Regional Library will meet Oct. 24.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:46 a.m.
At 9:51 a.m., Commissioner Fund announced that the meeting would recess until 4 p.m.
Due to time constraints, the commissioners did not resume the meeting at 4 p.m.
