The group discussed calendars, including their upcoming meeting with Sen. Braun.
The commissioners discussed inviting Winlock Mayor Don Bradshaw to the commissioners’ Oct. 29
meeting with Sen. Braun.
Erik Martin ask for the BOCC’s approval of using $7,500 Fund 301 to replace tools stolen from the
fairgrounds.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to approve using $7,500 Fund 301 to replace tools stolen from
the fairgrounds.
Commissioner Stamper seconded.
Motion passed 3-0.
Erik said he’d like to know whether the county would like to hire a firm to work on Strategic Planning in
2019.
Commissioner Fund left at 4:45 p.m.
Erik said IT and Risk are discussing the possibility of independent insurance for cybersecurity.
Erik said HR is working on information regarding the 911 manager, including salaries, recruitment, etc.
Erik said Steve Mansfield has suggested possibly creating a blue ribbon task force-type group to assist
with defining the role of the 911 manager position and help recruit for the position.
