Ron Averill discussed the Lewis County Seniors’ budget and said the group is in good financial health
overall.
Ron and Glenda Forga gave some highlights:
• At 80 percent of the project meal donation total of $60,000
• NSIP (federal program) meals total 28,000 year to date, an increase of roughly 3,000 meals over
fiscal year 2017
• Chehalis, Centralia and Toledo have donated toward the enrichment program
• Centralia College rental funds still yet to come in
• Processing liquor licenses for three senior centers
• Centers are requested to make a contribution toward the total operating costs (the breakdown
is as follows: Toledo pays 20 percent, Winlock pays 18 percent, Morton pays 15 percent,
Packwood pays 15 percent and the Twin Cities center pays 32 percent)
• Roughly 65 percent of amount budgeted for the year has been spent year to date
• Utility deposits were substantial
• Thrift store had been projected to show a year-end net income of $60,334 yet already has a net
income of $68,046

Glenda and Ron said they will be asking all cites for contributions in the future. They said the group also
is again requesting funding from the commissioners.
