The group discussed the upcoming budget meeting.
The group discussed procedures for the service elevator.
Eric Eisenberg joined at 10:06 a.m.
At 10:08 a.m., Commissioner Fund announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i)(i) for 10 minutes to discuss potential litigation regarding personnel.
Executive Session ended at 10:18 a.m.
Eric Eisenberg left at 11:18 a.m.
Erik Martin discussed the SEPA and NEPA comments regarding the flood damage reduction scoping. He
said he’d like to include in the county’s comments a request to look at the socio-economic impacts that
doing nothing would have.
Erik discussed creating a subcommittee for the CFP’s work with KMB. He said asbestos abatement work
in the Star Tavern is complete and that the area will be renovated to accommodate offices for the
Guardian Ad Litem program.
Erik said the windfarm EIS will go out for public comment on Oct. 30. He said Sean Bell of RES Americas
is looking to schedule a public informational meeting regarding the project.
Commissioner Stamper discussed the Lemmie Rockford rock pit. Erik said he will meet with Lee Napier
to discuss Community Development’s and DNR’s efforts regarding the rock pit.
Commissioner Jackson left at 11:31 a.m.
Erik discussed a temporary arrangement to allow Karen Witherspoon to work remotely until she leaves.
He also discussed the possibility of having Karen perform contract work for special projects, the cost of
which would be covered by the entity proposing the special project.
Commissioner Jackson returned at 11:33 a.m.
The group discussed cybersecurity and IT’s request for an additional position.
Commissioner Jackson left at 11:44 a.m.
The group said they would ask Risk to provide a list of former employees receiving unemployment.
Commissioner Jackson returned at 11:45 a.m.
The group discussed the recent thefts at the fairgrounds.
Erik discussed 911’s efforts to coordinate two studies. Erik said a consultant may be used but that Matt
Matayoshi has volunteered to weigh in as an alternative to using a consultant.
Commissioner Stamper left at 11:59 a.m. and returned at noon.
