Erik Martin asked if the commissioners if they want to consider
budgeting roughly $30,000 for a Strategic Planning consultant.
He said he would discuss the topic with City Manager Jill
Anderson. He said he would include it in the County Manager
budget. The commissioners agreed.
The group discussed the Coroner’s budget requests. Erik said
he would follow up with Warren McLeod.
Commissioner Fund said she has followed up with Sen. Braun’s office regarding culvert replacement and
indigent defense. She said Scott Tinney will follow up regarding indigent defense.
Erik said the CFP met the previous week with KMB regarding plans for the county’s buildings. The group
discussed future plans for siting services. Commissioner Jackson suggested stepping away from the idea
of creating a “one-stop shop.”
Commissioner Jackson said Title Guaranty has approached the county with a build-to-suit proposal for
property it owns.
Erik gave a brief update on Eagle Cliff.
Erik said a property owner is concerned about the owners of Jeremy’s, who are looking into the
possibility of a road vacation, which could affect the county.
Erik discussed concerns regarding renting out the facilities on the weekends. He said his concern is that
there is no policy in place.
Commissioner Jackson said he’d like to have someone in charge of locking the hearing room door at 5
p.m. and unlocking it at 8 a.m. daily.
Erik discussed the Jackson Villas development. He noted that the developer built a rock wall in county
right of way. He discussed creation of an MOA to address the rock wall.
Erik said he’ll meet regarding 911 later in the week.
