2018-11-21 Directors UpdateDirectors’ Update November 21, 2018 9 a.m. Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Stamper, Graham Gowing, Josh Metcalf, Danette York, Wayne Whiton, Steve Wohld, Becky Butler, Steve Walton, Steve Mansfield, Archie Smtih, Erik Martin (9:49 a.m.) Recorder: Rieva Lester Josh Metcalf discussed a notice of hearing regarding the necessary acquisition of additional right of way for North Fork Road in Chehalis. Steve Mansfield discussed an agreement between Lewis County and the Washington State Military Department for the 18SHSP Homeland Security Program Grant. Steve Mansfield discussed an agreement between Lewis County and the Washington State Military Department for the 2018-2019 Emergency Management Performance Grant. Graham Gowing and Danette York discussed a Categorized Schedule of Fees effective Jan. 1, 2019. Danette York discussed the nuisance abatement of foreclosed and abandoned residential property under RCW 7.100. Danette York discussed the Lewis County Dangerous Animal Designation (DAD) Board and the appointment of five members. Danette York discussed contract amendment D between Lewis county and the Housing Resource Center to add funding and extend the contract for Housing and Essential Needs. Archie Smith discussed a salary adjustment for non-represented employees beginning Jan. 1, 2019. Archie Smith discussed medical rates to be paid by Lewis County for non-union employees beginning Jan. 1, 2019. Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one Notice item, two Consent items and eight Deliberation items to the Monday, Nov. 26, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. Roundtable Becky Butler reminded the group to turn in budget amendments for the Dec. 17 hearing. She said the budget will be adopted Dec. 3. Erik Martin joined at 9:49 a.m. Steve Walton discussed the hearing room remodel. Josh Metcalf praised the efforts of motor pool. He said the county has received an extension on the Salmon Creek slide project and may receive additional funding. Wayne said Tawni Shepherd completed OSHA training. Steve Wohld said Parcel Maps now works on mobile devices. Commissioner Fund said Commissioner Stamper is taking over the advocacy of the Highway 12 / SR 504 interchange project.
