Steve Wohld made a motion to approve the October 2018 minutes. Erik Martin seconded.
Becky Butler discussed the 2019 budget. She said the county is looking at a use of reserves totaling $3.6
million.
Scott Tinney discussed a recent court ruling that cuts the legal financial obligations that can be assessed
on criminals. Becky noted that District Court used to cover its budget completely but that it now has a
$300,000 shortfall.

Wayne Whiton and Archie Smith discussed new legislation that will require 40 hours of mental health /
crisis intervention training annually.
Cullen Gatten said the county could allow advertising online but that it would need to set policies. He
and Steve Wohld said the revenues generated wouldn’t be worth the risks involved.

Graham Gowing said Cheryl McGee is retiring Dec. 7.
Danette York discussed a new position.
Scott Tinney said Legal Aid is closing Nov. 30 due to financial issues.
Suzette Smith discussed end-of-year financials.
Carrie Breen said Shop with a Cop is set for Dec. 13.
Archie Smith discussed a typo in the county’s jury duty policy.
Becky Butler said budget amendments are due by the end of the day.
Steve Wohld said the cybersecurity click rate has decreased dramatically. He suggested using mobile hot
spots instead of free public wifi.
