At 9:02 a.m., Commissioner Fund announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 10 minutes to discuss pending litigation.
Executive Session ended at 9:12 a.m.
Commissioner Fund and Commissioner Stamper discussed the recent WSAC conference, including its
presentation on timber counties.
Commissioner Jackson discussed WSAC’s exploration of possible weighted votes at WSAC. He said the
bylaws committee didn’t support the move to weighted votes.
The group spoke briefly about the Port of Chehalis’s exploration of the RE Bennett and Cascade schools
properties, their committees list, transportation, broadband technology and the Timberland Regional
Library.
The commissioners approved setting the 2019 rental rates at the same rates as those set in 2018.
Lara McRea discussed the levy certifications and budgets that the special purpose districts turn in. She
said the PA’s Office has suggested having the chair write a memo to the Assessor’s Office listing the
budgets and levy certifications received.
The group reviewed their calendars.
