Present: Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Commissioner Stamper, Anil Puri, Larry McGee,
Erik Martin (3:26 p.m.)

The group discussed the changes that have taken place since the commissioners hired Erik Martin as
county manager.
Among the benefits, they said:
• Erik serves as a point person for constituent concerns
• The commissioners have decreased the number of meetings they have to attend, freeing them
to focus their efforts elsewhere
• Erik is streamlining processes
• Erik is working on the Strategic Plan
• Erik is overseeing the BOCC office
Erik Martin joined at 3:26 p.m.
The group further discussed the changes/improvements Erik already has brought about.
Commissioner Stamper left at 3:41 p.m.
Commissioner Fund lamented unfunded mandates.
Commissioner Stamper left at 3:52 p.m.
The group discussed meeting again in six months or so to discuss the strategic plan as well as the
commissioners’ calendars and the time they are now able to devote to outside projects.
