Eric Eisenberg discussed Lewis County flood districts’ budgets and special assessments. He said the flood
districts receive funding from the properties affected in their areas and that the county is supposed to
determine which properties benefit from it and calculate assessments accordingly. Eric said it appears it
may have been handled incorrectly in the past, and he said the next move may be to contact the state
Auditor to determine how to move forward.
The item “possible state holiday closure” was stricken from the agenda.
At 2:14 p.m., Commissioner Fund announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under
RCWs 42.30.110(1)(i) and 42.30.110(1)(g) for 35 minutes to discuss pending and possible litigation as
well as to review the performance of a public employee.
At 2:49 p.m., the Board extended Executive Session for 10 minutes.
Executive Session ended at 2:59 p.m.
