Becky Butler reviewed outstanding expenditures. She said she is closely watching the budgets for Fair
and Facilities.
Becky discussed the WSU MOU for 2019.
Commissioner Jackson said WSU will reimburse Lewis County for a portion of its 2018 contributions.
Becky said she would request a draft 2019 MOU from Gary Fredricks.
Becky said that before he left, Ross Petersen suggested to Bill Wamsley that the county draft a legal
note, via resolution, to address questions regarding the weed assessment.
Becky suggested holding a training workshop for lodging tax grant recipients to discuss reimbursement
requirements, etc. Commissioner Fund said she plans to visit each recipient. Becky said she would plan a
training session for LTAC members for January and a training session for lodging tax recipients for
February.
Erik Martin stepped out at 10:12 a.m.
Becky said Arny Davis is requesting a staffing change regarding a position in his office.
Becky discussed the need to have policies in place regarding federal government shutdowns.
Erik returned at 10:17 a.m.
The group discussed the Port of Centralia’s planned Centralia Station project.
The group discussed the Coroner’s budget request. Erik noted that the coroner position was increased
to full time a few years ago as a cost-saving measure.
