Commissioner Fund made a motion to add to the day’s agenda a resolution to amend the agreement
with Tacoma Power.
Commissioner Jackson seconded.
Motion passed 3-0.
Becky Butler discussed the upcoming all-day budget meetings.
The commissioners said they would be back in time for afternoon meetings on Oct. 17 following the EDC
luncheon.
Commissioner Jackson and Commissioner Fund said they would attend the budget meetings the
afternoon of Oct. 24.
Commissioner Stamper said he would skip the DNR meeting the first week of November so he could
attend the decision-making meeting for budget that day.
Eric Eisenberg and Becky discussed East Lewis County PDA’s request to make interest-only payments on
its .09 loan. Eric said the group was supposed to be paying principal and interest. Becky noted that the
loan was used to build the building for the armory. She noted that the building has sat vacant.
Commissioner Stamper said Lee Grose has indicated there are individuals interested in renting the site.
The commissioners said they’d like to schedule a meeting with Lee Grose and other members of the
ELCPDA as well as Matt Matayoshi and Josh Metcalf (and/or the LC airport manager).
Becky said she would adjust the Oct. 19 calendar to allow the commissioners to leave a little earlier.
Eric left at 9:23 a.m.
The commissioners reviewed their calendars.
