Cullen Gatten outlined changes he has made to the county’s proposed noise ordinance.
The commissioners said they would plan for a tentative hearing date of Dec. 9, 2019.
Eric Eisenberg said Cemetery District 2 wants to remove an orphaned section of its district. He presented
a document outlining the steps a cemetery district would take to withdraw a territory from a cemetery
district. The commissioners agreed to waive privilege on the document.
Eric discussed a document outlining the steps a flood control district would have to take to create its
special assessment. He outlined the steps the county would need to take, including setting and holding a
hearing.
Eric said members of the community appear to be unhappy about the prospect of a proposed AT&T cell
phone tower. He said the hearings examiner will review the matter.
Eric discussed the work he has done regarding a proposed fireworks ban. Commissioner Fund noted that
Centralia is working on a fireworks ban.
Jonathan Meyer said the criminal investigation team continues to sort through paperwork for
Destination Packwood.
The group discussed the use of the hearing room, which remains locked when not in use. The PA’s Office
recommended continuing the standard practice of not allowing public use when the room is not open.
At 2:24 p.m., Commissioner Jackson announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under
RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 20 minutes to discuss pending and / or potential litigation.
Executive Session ended at 2:44 p.m. Commissioner Jackson noted that no decisions had been made.
Meeting ended at 2:45 p.m.
