Casey Mauermann said the county has received 814 records requests year to date. Casey said the bulk
of the requests that come in are for the Sheriff’s Office and 911.
Commissioner Fund left at 11:47 a.m.
Erik Martin noted that there are three positions are dedicated to public records requests. He noted that
a vacant position that was increased to a full-time position earlier in the year is being filled.
Becky Butler noted that the county is moving to push more records online to help decrease the number
of requests the county fields.
Casey discussed the need for purging files once they no longer must be retained.
Casey noted that one requester in particular submitted more than 600 requests beginning in the fall of
2016. She noted that 297 requests from the county’s multi-requesters have not yet been completed.
