Tim Murphy said the state very recently added a deadline of Oct. 31, 2019, for fleet vehicle purchases
for state contracts on Dodge Chargers.
In response, Tim said he sought bids from two area dealerships that have done business with the
county:
• Tim said I-5 Toyota gave an official quote that comes in roughly $4,000 under the state contract
price.
• He said McChord also submitted a bid but that McChord’s was higher.
Tim said cars ordered now would be available after the first of the year.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to move forward with an order for six Dodge Chargers.
Commissioner Stamper seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.
