IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 19-349
CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE 2020-2023 DEBRIS
REMOVAL PROJECT, COUNTY PROJECT NO SW-CTS
20-23
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Division of Lewis County Public Works periodically has a
need for chipping and grinding of woody debris collected at the Central Transfer Station
in Centralia (CTS); and
WHEREAS, the chipped woody debris is loaded into Lewis County Agency provided
vehicles and hauled to another location at the CTS site for Lewis County residents to
use and to the City of Centralia's wastewater treatment plant for use in the city's bio-
solids compost-making program; and
WHEREAS, a Call for Bids is required, pursuant to RCW 36.32.250, for a contractor to
grind woody debris collected at the CTS for a two-year period
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is instructed
to issue a Call for Bids and Contract Specifications for the 2020-2023 Debris Removal
Project, County Project No. SW-CTS 20-23, Bids for this project shall be submitted to the
Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners (351 N W North Street, Room 210,
CMS-01, Chehalis, Washington 98532) by or before 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday, December
17, 2019, and will be opened on or after 11.00 a m on December 17, 2019.
