Adopt a Categorized Schedule of Fees effective January 1, 2020 BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 19-351 RESOLUTION ADOPTING A CATEGORIZED SCHEDULE OF FEES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has adopted a Schedule of Fees for the Lewis County Code Titles 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 to consolidate all fees and assessments for the departments of Community Development, Public Works and Health & Social Services for permits and approvals within such Schedule of Fees; and WHEREAS, said Schedule of Fees was established by the BOCC for ease of use by the public and to provide a single format for fees associated with user and permitting fees, and to expeditiously allow for changes in fees at the request of the above-named County departments; and WHEREAS, the Board regularly reviews and may amend its Schedule of Fees for its various departments to reflect increased administrative and other costs of providing certain County services and permits; and WHEREAS, the Board has decided to amend the existing Schedule of Fees, incorporating departmental recommendations regarding administrative costs associated with providing services and permits by the above-named County departments NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the Schedule of Fees, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, is hereby adopted and to be effective beginning January 1, 2020; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that if any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Resolution is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid at law, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Resolution DONE IN OPEN SESSION this 2nd day of December, 2019 APPROVED AS TO FORM. The Resolution establishes the fees charged for permits and approvals administered by the Department of Community Development, Public Work and Public Health & Social Services as it relates to reviews under Lewis County Code Titles 8, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18. Fees are subject to review and adjustment based on costs associated directly with processing, reviewing and the administering of permits issued by staff.
