Appoint Ricardo Barrientes to the Veterans' Advisory Board BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO 19-382
APPOINTING RICARDO BARRIENTES AS A REGULAR
MEMBER TO THE VETERANS' ADVISORY BOARD
(VAB) THROUGH JUNE 30, 2021
WHEREAS, Resolution 06-189 established the Lewis County Veterans' Advisory Board
(VAB), and
WHEREAS, membership on the VAB shall be comprised of no less than seven regular
and two alternate members With the resignation of William Anholt, one position is now
vacant; and
WHEREAS, Ricardo Barrientes has expressed interest and a desire to serve on the VAB
to complete William Anholt's term Ricardo's term will be effective when appointed
through June 30, 2021, and
WHEREAS, the VAB needs to fill this vacant position, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed Ricardo's
application and recommends appointment to the VAB
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the BOCC that Ricardo Barrientes be
appointed as a regular member of the Lewis County VAB from the date approved
through June 30, 2021

RE. Recommendations
The Veterans Advisory Board members have agreed to submit the following
recommendations to be considered by the Board of County Commissioners.
1. William Anholt has resigned from his position from the Veterans Advisory
Board as a voting member due to personal reasons.
2. We would like to recommend Ricardo Barrientes to be accepted into the
Veterans Advisoty Board as a new voting member Mr Barrientes will be
replacing William Anholt. His beginning service will be 1 January 2020
Public Health&Social Services staff will process the appropriate resolution to make
the above changes should you approve them to move forward.Thank you for your
consideration.
