Acceptance of the Vader-Enchanted Valley New Water Reservoir
BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO 19-399 ACCEPTANCE OF THE VADER-ENCHANTED VALLEY NEW WATER RESERVOIR WHEREAS, Lewis County was awarded grant funding from the State Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the purpose of constructing a new water reservoir for the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water System, and WHEREAS, CDBG and USDA require a public hearing to review project performance and a resolution of project acceptance to complete final project closeout; and WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has held a public hearing on December 30, 2019 and received testimony regarding the performance of the water reservoir; and WHEREAS, the construction of the water reservoir is complete and is functioning as expected The Engineer of Record has completed the Notice of Acceptability of Work and Certificate of Substantial Completion, and WHEREAS, the Lewis County Engineer recommends the acceptance of the Vader- Enchanted Valley Water Reservoir NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC has held a public hearing for the Vader-Enchanted Valley Water System New Water Reservoir grant funded construction project and finds the project to be acceptable as recommended by the Engineer of Record and the Lewis County Engineer DONE IN OPEN SESSION this 30th day of December, 2019 APPROVED AS TO FORM BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Jonathan Meyer, Prosecuting Attorney LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON Amber Smith Robert C Jackson By Amber Smith, Robert C Jackson, Chair Deputy Prosecuting Attorney ATTEST �.z,Ogi Y I{�•. The review revealed that the work has been completed substantially in accordance with the plans and specifications and is accepted as of July 30, 2019, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract and subject to the satisfactory completion of the following items,which remain to be accomplished.
