Matt Matayoshi updated the BOCC on Mickelsen Parkway. Matt and Benaroya are working to find ways
to move forward. Benaroya has a client that is interested but the construction needs to be complete by
2021. Matt is working with Representative Ed Orcutt and Senator John Braun to try and get funding
back for the project.
Matt Matayoshi provided an update on Rush Rd. He met with WSDOT who provided six options.
WSDOT has agreed to pull one stop sign to help to keep traffic moving. This is the first step. After two
months, WSDOT will look to see if it has helped. Because of budget cuts WSDOT is only able to make
small improvements.
Commissioner Fund asked Matt if he has talked with Synergy Eco Hub. Matt said Synergy has not made
contact with him.
