FISCAL – Beginning the year end process. Moving the old items into storage, auditor's
reports, accruals, clean up.
BUDGET-
• Budget Amendment- January 23rd, 2017 – this will be a cleanup for the 2016
budget. Fund 125 $2,100
Elections $43,920 Marianne Zumbuhl Annual Leave payout and PERS 1 excess
comp. Becky explained the PERS I retirement and the additional cost when there is
an annual leave payout for a PERS 1 employee.
• Julie Zander request- Becky informed the Board that Julie has requested county
employee salary increase details, we will continue to work with her to provide
information as requested. She was directed to Sandy Lupo for information on the Sheriff and Jail salaries.
• Website update-we will be working on updating the Budget website with year-end information and the 2017 budget in brief.
• Budget Tech. Job Posting-posting this week internally, if no qualified applicants
apply, HR will post out to the public.
Other items discussed:
Sales tax has come in higher in December the new projection is closer to $5.2-5.4
million for 2016.
DNR Timber revenue or Forest Board Yield transfer came in at $188K for the month
of December and will total $848K for 2016, a total of $148K over the budgeted
amount.
Discussed public disclosures and the recent news release for Clallam County, there
was a settlement of $500K for land use documents. They have now made plans to
implement records management and are paying for Two records specialist from the
Risk Management fund.
