Steve Walton discussed the previous night’s Fire Commissioners meeting.
Steve discussed a recent hire who did not make it past the probation period.
Steve said roughly $204,000 was spent on 911 overtime last year. He said he is working on an analysis
on the cost savings of adding a position.
Steve gave an update on the finance systems. He said the software was installed last week and went
well.
He said Roof Doctor checked out the area above 911 on Friday.
Steve said there has been discussion about adding a proxy card reader at the bottom of the stairs. He
said the county could send two employees to Proxy card training for roughly $2,000. He said the county
would realize thousands of dollars in savings in the future.
