The group discussed what would happen if a claim were filed against the court, which is a state entity.
Commissioner Fund asked Glenn Carter about his views on a group’s recent discussions about the
process of moving to a charter government.
Commissioner Fund said Dr. Pope has indicated he is all for the idea of a charter government. She said
she was invited to a meeting that included Eric Schwartz, Christine Fossett, Joyce Barnes, Sue Lund,
Randy Mueller, Dr. Pope, Mitch Moberg, Larry McGee, and others. Commissioner Fund said the group
was seeking money from the county to hire a facilitator and pay for travel.
Glenn Carter expressed concerns about commissioners being involved in any push for a charter
government.
Commissioner Jackson discussed his concerns about having one a single manager, who isn’t elected, put
in charge.
Commissioner Jackson left at 2:57 p.m.
