CJ Neer said the boost in Packwood is from Discover Lewis County. Harry said to be careful to jump to
conclusions from one year of data.
Commissioner Fund started a discussion on the change from Commission to Council. She mentioned that
there had been a rumor that Senator Braun and Representative DeBolt were planning to introduce
legislation on this topic. Senator Braun said this was not the case.
Commissioner Jackson said the change has to come through the Board of County Commissioners.
Commissioner Fund addressed what would be needed to make the transition. She also added that Clark
County tried four times.
Commissioner Jackson said this change would eliminate east, west and south county by focusing on
Chehalis and Centralia.

Harry said he comes to the weekly press conference to be able to show people in rural unincorporated
Lewis County that they have access to a transparent government.
Commissioner Fund pointed out on the county map if there are 6 representatives 2 could represent
Mossyrock east to the county line to give the far east end equal representation.
