Hunt, Glenn Carter, Jonathan Meyer

The group discussed the Napavine City Council interview process.
Commissioner Stamper suggested writing down the top three choices and using that as a springboard.
Rachel Hunt left at 9:15 a.m. to call Glenn Carter to seek his advice on proceeding. She returned at 9:18
a.m.
Glenn Carter and Jonathan Meyer joined the meeting at 9:26 a.m.
Glenn and Jonathan said writing on slips of paper would be acceptable. They said the slips of paper
would be public record and would have to be preserved.
The commissioners discussed the benefits and concerns of different types of voting.
Jonathan discussed the pitfalls of written ballots.
Commissioner Fund discussed finding a middle ground of small discussion.
Jonathan clarified what can and cannot be discussed in executive session.
The group discussed verbally indicating each commissioner’s top three choices.
The group discussed using separate motions for each appointee.
The group discussed avoiding executive session.
