Erik Martin discussed a resolution to accept a donated piece of property at the end of Stover Road in
Packwood.
Archie Smith discussed a resolution regarding Steve Mansfield.
Archie Smith also discussed a resolution to update the affirmative action plan.
Lee Napier discussed a resolution to approve the acceptance of a grant to help with the comp plan
update.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move five (5) Consent items to the Monday, March 20, BOCC
agenda.
Commissioner Stamper seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
Roundtable
Lee Napier said she’ll attend Master Builders in the evening.
Commissioner Fund joined by phone at 9:30 a.m.
Rieva Lester asked for any late minutes to be turned in.
Commissioner Fund said she had just testified at the state Legislature earlier in the day. She said she
learned a new term: vexacious requester.
Paulette Young said she will be in the office Monday through Wednesday next week.
Meeting ended at 9:36 a.m.
Archie Smith stayed behind to talk with the Board. Carma Oaksmith and Steve Wohld also stayed
behind.
Archie said he’ll make the requested style and grammar changes and resubmit it. He said the updates
need to be done in time for the first-quarter grant plan.
Steve Wohld and Carma Oaksmith left at 9:47 a.m.
The group said that if more changes were needed, that could be done in the future.
The group discussed the request from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Archie said the unions may attend HR’s March 21 update meeting with the Board.
The group discussed the possibility of creating hiring contracts.
Archie Smith left at 9:58 a.m.
The group discussed the Napavine City Council.
Commissioner Fund left the meeting at 10:01 a.m.
Commissioner Stamper and Commissioner Jackson continued discussing Napavine.
