Meeting began with a breakdown of the various departments in Emergency Management. Steve
Mansfield briefly cited the Stafford Act.
Discussion moved to the Tacoma Rail Line.
Commissioner Stamper asked about cities and counties reporting damages with FEMA.
Commissioner Jackson stepped out of the meeting at 11:12 a.m. and reentered at 11:13 p.m.
Steve moved the discussion to Emergency Services.
He added he will be meeting with all the employees individually.
Steve also met with the user group to outline the future. Discussion ensued about the outcome of
the meeting. He said they will be having a follow up meeting.
Steve added they are working on a policy manual for the department. He mentioned an incident
which occurred over the weekend involving admin notification.
Discussion moved to developing a secondary 911 communication center.
Commissioner Fund mentioned the Fire Commissioners Meeting scheduled for 3/20. Steve
replied that he will be giving an overview.
