Emergency Management
Commissioner Jackson started the meeting asking about Commissioner roles during a county-wide
emergency or disaster.
Steve Mansfield replied the response will be focused on leadership, predominately on the allocation of
resources and recovery in the aftermath.
Commissioner Fund added input on a previous flooding situation.
Discussion ensued about interactions with the federal representatives during emergencies.
Steve Mansfield addressed the damage assessment from the February storm and contact with the State
and FEMA.
911 Communications
Steve said he is still in Phase 1 in his directives and job descriptions.
The group discussed a current L&I complaint.
Discussion continued on the management of the 911 center and the changes in the job descriptions and
contracts.
