The group discussed a proclamation.
The group discussed troubles with a resolution from the Sheriff’s Office.
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to award the bid for the county’s legal printing.
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to appoint a member to the fair board.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one (1) Proclamation and three (3) Consent items to the
Monday, April 3, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
Commissioner Fund discussed Commissioner Stamper’s trip to D.C.
Paulette Young joined the meeting at 9:15 a.m.
Roundtable
Erik Martin said Public Works will have four new employees within the next five weeks or so.
Lee Napier discussed her new hire, Graham Gowing. Lee said IT is changing the Open Burn website. She
said one goal is to give fire departments access to see who has obtained a permit.
Becky Butler said Budget is still collecting budget amendments if needed. She also discussed a LEOFF
budget proposal lawmakers are considering. She also discussed the need for a point person from each
office. Becky said the current meetings are data collection. Training will take place in the future.
Steve Wohld said IT is going to go with DeVaul Publishing for business cards.
Becky Butler and Linda Williams left at 9:36 a.m.
Steve Walton discussed the Munis meetings.
Linda Williams returned at 9:38 a.m.
The group continued discussing the implementation of the finance system.
Steve Walton said he’d be out of the office the following week.
Danette York joined the meeting at 9:42 a.m.
Archie Smith said tables and chairs have been borrowed from the credit union building. He asked that
anyone who has borrowed them to please return them.
Sheila Gray said she is working on the Fresh from the Farm guide. She said she has interviewed for the
Farmer’s Market manager.
Danette York said Health has hired a nurse. She said she is considering a joint NFP team with Thurston
County. Danette discussed a recent meth lab bust on Joppish Road. She said the building had to be
condemned.
Commissioner Jackson said a team is being put together for Strategic Planning.
The group discussed the difficulties posed by PDRs.
The group discussed the possible advantages of open union negotiations.
Lee discussed HB 2186.
Commissioner Fund said the state’s operating budget still includes funding for the courthouse and
Winlock.
