Sheriff Snaza said he sent a letter to sheriffs requesting other noise ordinances used in other areas. He
said many agencies said the ordinances were cumbersome and ineffective because they’re difficult to
impose.
Jonathan Meyer said civil anti-harassment orders or civil injunctions could be used. He echoed that it
would be next to impossible to enforce noise ordinances.
Sheriff Snaza said he wishes Lewis County had something in place, but he said feedback from the other
counties leads him to believe it wouldn’t be worth the county’s efforts.

The group discussed the need for a noise meter and noise meter training necessary for noise ordinances.
