David Fine suggested having the requester fill out a request. He and Glenn Carter discussed the danger of giving individuals access to without prior review. Eric Eisenberg said a recent in-person requester had visited the office as a follow-up to a previous discussion. He said the BOCC office staff had found a book they thought might be of interest to the individual. The group discussed fees that can be charged for records. The group discussed PDRs, meeting minutes, and Facebook. The group discussed J. Vander Stoep’s work on flood mitigation advocacy and whether a contract would need to be in place. The group discussed the possibility of a contract with EDC instead. Sharon Decker left at 2:33 p.m. David Fine said there is a petition to decertify AFSME and form a guild. He said no county supervisor can communicate about it with the affected employees. At 2:38 p.m., Commissioner Stamper announced that the Board was going into Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 20 minutes to discuss pending litigation. Executive Session ended at 2:56 p.m. No decisions were made. Meeting ended at 2:56 p.m.
