Steve Mansfield said work on the DEM Program has been stalled due to staffing.
Steve discussed a presidential declaration regarding the February storms. He said Lewis County was one
of three counties to qualify. Steve said the next step will be an applicant briefing. He said he appreciates
the efforts of other counties that did not qualify but submitted their information.
Steve discussed mitigation grants and public assistance.
Linda Williams joined the meeting.
Steve discussed new policies and procedures in 911.
Commissioner Jackson left at 10:58 a.m.
Steve discussed a revamped evaluation policy.
Steve said one of 911’s top employees has left. He said he conducted an exit interview that provided
insight into the interworkings of the department.
Steve discussed a break-in on Hopkins Hill and gave an update on an interlocal agreement he is working
on.
Commissioner Jackson returned at 11:14 a.m.
Steve discussed the updated phone system, the updated radio system, and his budget. He also discussed
the need to budget for a new computer system.
