The group discussed correspondence.
Candy Hallom said she has two openings on the Board of Equalization. She said she has received several
applications from applicants, including Russ Wigley and Richard Tausch, whom Candy said she
recommends appointing. She said other members of the BOE, including Johnny D., Peggy L. and
Paulette, may ask to be alternates instead of full board members. The board supported her suggestion.
The group discussed the week’s calendar and calendar
Commissioner Fund made a motion to add Thomas Larson to the Southwest Washington fair board.
Commissioner Jackson seconded. Passed 3-0.
The group discussed the upcoming press conference.
Commissioner Stamper gave an update regarding Tacoma Power, public property, and “substantial
development” permitting fees.
Commissioner Fund expressed frustration about an old map used for the White Pass Scenic Byway. She
said it’s important for Lodging Tax recipients to include all of unincorporated Lewis County.
Commissioner Jackson discussed his calendar, including a Wednesday meeting regarding SW
Washington Clean Air.
Commissioner Fund said she attended the Toledo Senior Center’s chicken dinner. She discussed
concerns participants voiced.
