The group discussed items for the Monday, June 5, 2017, BOCC legislative meeting.
Commissioner Fund discussed a proclamation honoring valedictorians and salutatorians.

Steve Walton discussed a resolution declaring surplus property and a resolution to select a contractor to
supply jail hot water boilers.
Danette York discussed a resolution dissolving the Social Services Advisory Board and the Board of
Health Advisory Committee.
Danette also discussed a resolution to establish a Public Health & Social Services Advisory Board.
Commissioner Fund discussed a resolution to appoint members to the Board of Equalization (BOE).
Erik Martin discussed a hearing regarding a franchise request submitted by Lake Mayfield Community
Club.
Commissioner Jackson made a motion to move one (1) Proclamation, three (3) Notice, two (2) Consent
items, 10 (ten) Deliberation Items and one (1) Hearing to the Monday, June 5, 2017, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Fund seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Roundtable
Danette York said a retirement party for Nancy Kaiser is planned for May 31, 2017. She said she has
posted the deputy director position. She said she will hire for a health educator.
Graham Gowing said Community Development has an opening for a Permit Tech I.
Erik Martin said an Area 3 individual is retiring. He gave a brief update on the recent Borst Avenue
meeting.
Steve Wohld said IT is working on rates.
Becky Butler said rates are being ironed out.
Steve Walton asked the group to think about booths at the fair.
Carma Oaksmith said she will be leaving.
Steve Mansfield asked for departments to check their radio inventory. He warned about FCC rules
regarding access to certain frequencies. He said a spreadsheet has been created to help determine the
actual cause of discrepancies in 911 calls.
Archie Smith said he’ll be at training the following week.
Paulette Young said she’ll be at conferences the following week.
Commissioner Jackson said he’ll be attending a WCIF meeting.
Commissioner Fund said Gov. Inslee will be visiting the area. She invited the group to a Remembrance
Day planned for June 3 to honor the individuals interned at the Japanese Internment Camps.
