Employment Situations
• Executive session – personnel (12:03 -12:13) – No decisions made. RCW 42.30.110 (g) – No
decision was made.
• Double coverage discussion (as requested by BOCC) – HR to work with WCIF and get better
clarification on this issue.
Union Business:
• Update on proposals
o AFSCME – Mediation update
o Supervisors – Mediation update
o JV Detention 7K Schedule – Mediation update.

o Labor union agreements
AFSCME wants us to do their billing. We have stopped this and informed
them to send an invoice. They have failed to do so and I am requesting they
do their own financial work. Will have further discussion.

HR has yet to get a response from Russ about union meeting request. Russ
continues to directly deal with the BOCC to undermine negotiation process.

• Would like new tables, pull down screen, and projector for training room. Cost between
$650 and $1200 for projector and screen. – working with IT and cost breakdown.
