Danette York said Dusty Breen said he will serve as the hearings officer for an upcoming Dangerous
Animal Hearings Officer. She said she also has reached out to the city of Chehalis.
Glenn Carter discussed Resolution 03-042, which allows a county employee to request defense and
indemnification. He said the resolution is limited to civil matters. Glenn Carter said no charges have
been filed.
Commissioner Jackson asked if the BOCC would be allowed to provide defense and indemnification in
the case of criminal charges. Glenn said the resolution provides defense and indemnification in the case
of a tort claim.
Danette York said the prosecutor indicated a crime could be charged. She said therefore she has
incurred costs.
