Tamara Hayes discussed ordering vinyl signs for the fair.
Steve Walton said a Grade 16 employee to help with financial work would be $29,000 for a fulltime
employee or $22,000 for a three-quarter time person with a July 1 effective date. He said a fulltime
annual employee at Grade 16, Step A would be $58,000.
Tamara said the staff would report to her. She said she needs someone to work on the financials and to
help cover vacations, etc. She said she also needs help with Garlic Fest.
Steve said the fair could save roughly $13,000 in overtime by managing shifts, which includes managing
hours for personnel from Treasurer’s Office, Facilities, and Fair.
Tamara said the Fair was billed for all of the Treasurer’s Office hours.
The group discussed the Collective Bargaining Agreement, which would allow for the working hours to
be changed.
Steve said $7,000 can be saved by having someone else collect money from the vendors. Steve said he
also believes $7,000 in temporary labor also could be saved.
Commissioner Jackson and Commissioner Fund said they would add it to the Monday Wrap-Up so
Commissioner Stamper also could discuss the request.
