1. Defense & Indemnification discussion for two employees from Health &
Social Services – Paulette discussed with the BOCC that defense and
indemnification on the current resolution would only cover our employees
under a civil case such as a lawsuit in which they were named. There is no
way to defend and indemnify employees in a criminal matter even if those
charges could be because of the performance of their job.
2. Public Disclosure Workload Discussion – Paulette discussed the need to
start transitioning the public disclosure workload from Kim Amrine back to
the BOCC office. Paulette asked the BOCC to think about which of the
employees in the BOCC would be a likely point person. The BOCC said they
would discuss at a later meeting.
3. Public Disclosure Policy Discussion – Paulette is working on an amendment
to the current policy to be in compliance with the two pieces of legislation
that were just passed. This should be done in time to notify of a hearing on
July 10.
4. Other –The BOCC asked Paulette that she attend the Prosecutor’s update.
They stated they had asked Archie the same thing.
