Judge Lawler said the state salary commission has changed the judges’ salaries. He said the Superior
Court judge’s salaries will increase in September. He said he wants to revisit the issue of the court
commissioner’s salary and clarify what pro tems are paid.
Susie Parker said the courts would like to tie the court commissioner salary to the judges’ salaries. She
said the court also would like to tie in the pro tem rates.
Susie and Judge Lawler left at 9:07 a.m.
Tamara Hayes discussed the need for help at the fairgrounds. She said she would like to request an
Admin I position to help with the various duties, including the recent addition of Garlic Fest.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to add an administrative assistant position to the fair and to review
transferring accounting service responsibilities to the fair office after the conclusion of the 2017
Southwest Washington Fair and 2017 Garlic Fest.
Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Tamara discussed changes to the fair opening ceremonies, which will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday the
week of the fair. The group discussed the fair opening.
Tamara left at 9:35 a.m.
Commissioner Fund made a motion to add two Notices (Debris Removal and Oyler Bridge) to the
Monday BOCC agenda and to remove Resolution 17-185 from the agenda.
Commissioner Jackson seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3-0.
Eric Eisenberg discussed the Russell property in Adna. He said the property owner wants to subdivide
the property. They want to do a simple segregation, which the property would not qualify for. The
owner has been told they could gerrymander the open area to be included with the four parcels or they
could do a subdivision. He also discussed clustering and possibly readdressing the clustering rules in the
upcoming Comp Plan.
Commissioner Jackson left at 9:47 a.m.
Eric said he would contact the developer’s attorney.
