2017-06-27 Emergency Management UpdateEmergency Management Update June 27, 2017 10:11 a.m. Present: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Steve Mansfield Recorder: Rieva Lester Steve Mansfield gave updates on the following: Emergency Services 911 Communications/Radio Personnel update: Nearly fully staffed, employee may want to move from full time to part time. ILA update: Steve said a meeting is planned for later in the day. Deconsolidation update: Steve discussed the effect deconsolidation would have on user groups. Commissioner Jackson discussed the need to make Lewis County a primary PCAP. He said the cities’ studies will become a moot point on Jan. 1. COOP update: Steve said he has created a Continuity of Operations (COOP) list for his staff. He encouraged the BOCC to create one. He said it’s important to know evacuation plans and shelter in place plans. New policies: Steve said he has updated policies on internal investigations, performance improvement coaching, corrective action and termination, and performance review and evaluation. Emergency Management Personnel update: Jim is gone, and Jill has returned. White paper by David Anderson: Steve Mansfield discussed a basic information sheet Dave Anderson created.
