2017-07-11 Central Services UpdateCentral Services Update July 11, 2017 Start Time- 2:30 p.m. Attendees: Commissioner Stamper, Commissioner Fund, Commissioner Jackson, Steve Walton, Daleyn Coleman, Doug Carey Recorder: Rachel Hunt The group discussed a current personnel issue and rate of pay. Commissioner Stamper briefly stepped out of the meeting at 2:37 p.m. and reentered at 2:29 p.m. Budget Fiscal administrator and payout- the group discussed the implications of not having a current administrator while the position is open. Steve expressed a need for Commissioner approval before moving forward with a change in the grade of the position. Steve said a request for a new position would need to include the data showing the need for the new position. The group discussed the budget impact of a CVO deputy in the Sheriff’s Office. Finance System Munis- chart of accounts passed final test. Facilities Chip seal at fair- project started and was completed yesterday (07/10). Ballot Boxes- installed in Packwood and Winlock. Twin Cities- Hot water tank began to leak and was replaced. Grange Roof at Fairgrounds- contract is currently being signed. Goal is to have the roof completed by August 7th. Fair New administrative assistant- interviewed and selected a new position to work at the fairgrounds. Fair Commission- still have one opening in District 3. The group discussed how they plan to advertise this opening. Commissioner Fund briefly stepped out of the meeting at 3:52 p.m. Other Blue Ribbon Panel – July 12th at 1:30.
